Chicken Kathi Roll | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Chicken Kathi roll is a mouth watering and scrumptious roll made using chicken filling and wrapped using a refined flour roti.

CHICKEN KATHI ROLL

Ingredients

250 grams boneless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
4 medium refined flour rotis
1 tablespoon oil
1 green chilli, finely chopped
2 medium onions, sliced
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
½ teaspoon cumin powder
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 small carrot, peeled and cut into thin strips
Green chutney as required
1 medium tomato, cut into thin strips
Chaat masala for sprinkling

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add green chilli and ½ of onions and sauté till onion turns translucent.
2. Add ginger-garlic-green chilli paste and sauté for 1 minute. Add chicken, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add cumin powder and salt, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes or till chicken is fully done. Add coriander leaves and mix. Add carrot and mix well.
4. Spread some chutney on each roti and put some chicken mixture in the center and top with remaining onions and tomato strips. Sprinkle some chaat masala and roll.
5. Diagonally slice the rolls. Put some green chutney on one side of a serving platter and spread using the back of the spoon.
6. Place the rolls and serve garnished with a coriander sprig.
