Chicken Steak with Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients for Chicken Steak:
Chicken fillets 2-3
Oil 3 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Black pepper 1 tsp
Red Chili powder 1 tsp
Onion powder 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Hot sauce 2 tbsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Mustard paste 1½ tbsp

Ingredients for Mexican Sauce:
Butter 2 tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Ginger & garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Mushrooms (sliced) ½ cup
Chicken stock 1½ cup
Ketchup ½ cup
Hot sauce 2 tbsp
Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
Salt ½ tsp or to taste
Black pepper (crushed) ½ tsp
Slurry (water + corn flour) ¼ cup + 1 tbsp
Sautéed Vegetables as req

Ingredients for Mashed Potatoes:
Butter 2 tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Potatoes (Boiled & Mashed) 2 cups
Salt 1 tsp
Black pepper ½ tsp
Garlic powder ½ tap
Milk ¾ cup


Directions for Chicken Steak Preparation:
1. Hammer chicken fillets with a hammer.
2. In a bowl add hammered chicken fillets, oil, salt, black pepper, red chili powder, onion powder, ginger garlic paste, hot sauce, lemon juice, mustard paste and marinate well. Marinate for 30 mins to 2 hours.
3. Grease the grill pan with oil and grill the marinated chicken fillet for 4-5 minutes each side or until fully cooked.

Directions for Mexican Sauce:
1. In a preheated pan melt butter and add oil. Sauté ginger garlic for a minute. Add mushrooms and sauté until crisp.
2. Add stock, ketchup, hot sauce, soy sauce, salt and pepper.
3. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add slurry and cook until desired consistency has obtained.

Directions for Mashed Potatoes:
1. In a preheated pan, melt butter and add oil. Add mashed potatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
2. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
3. Add milk and cook over medium to low flame until milk is absorbed and creamy texture has been obtained. Serve with steak.
