Chicken Tikka Tawa Pulao | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Chicken tikka enhances this delicious tawa pulao. A nice little twist to the regular pulao.

CHICKEN TIKKA TAWA PULAO - (Serves - 4)

Ingredients

250 grams readymade chicken tikka
3 cups cooked rice
2-3 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
¼ cup tomato puree
1 tablespoon Kashmiri red chilli paste
1 teaspoon pav bhaji masala
½ medium green capsicum, chopped
2-3 tablespoons green peas
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste

Method

1. Roughly chop chicken tikka and transfer in a bowl.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and onion and sauté till onion turns golden. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix well and sauté for 30 seconds.
3. Add tomato puree and red chilli paste, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
4. Add pav bhaji masala, capsicum, green peas, coriander leaves and salt and mix well. Add 3-4 tablespoons water, mix and cook for 1 minute.
5. Add rice and mix well. Add chopped chicken tikka, mix and cook for 1 minute.
6. Serve hot.
