चॉकलेट फ्रेंच टोस्ट | Chocolate French Toast | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

These special chocolate filled sandwich french toasts are going to win everyone's heart!

CHOCOLATE FRENCH TOAST

Ingredients

4 tbsps grated dark chocolate
2 tbsps cocoa powder
4 eggs
¼ cup castor sugar
½ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
½ cup cream cheese
2 tbsps castor sugar
8 white bread slices
8 tsps butter
Icing sugar for dusting
Fresh mixed berries to serve
Fresh mint sprigs for garnish

Method

1. Take cocoa powder in a wide bowl. Add castor sugar and mix well. Add milk and mix till a smooth mixture is formed.
2. Break in the eggs and add vanilla essence and whisk till well combined.
3. To make the cheese spread, take cream cheese in a bowl. Add castor sugar and mix till light and fluffy.
4. To make the sandwiches, add a portion of the cheese spread and apply it evenly. Sprinkle 1 tbsp grated dark chocolate on 4 slices of the bread. Cover with the remaining slices of bread to make sandwiches.
5. Dip the sandwiches one at a time into the eggs mixture till well coated with the mixture.
6. Heat 2 tsps butter in a non-stick shallow pan. Place one sandwich and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes as well. Transfer on a worktop, diagonally cut it in half and place on a serving plate. Dust icing sugar on top, garnish with mint sprig and serve with mixed berries.
