Chole poori is a food dish popular in the Northern areas of the Indian subcontinent. It is a combination of chana masala (spicy white chickpeas) and puri, Although it is known as a typical Punjabi dish, but there are varied claims around the origin of dish.

Chole puri is often eaten as a breakfast dish, sometimes accompanied with lassi. It can also be street food or a complete meal and may be accompanied with onions, pickled carrots, green chutney or achaar.
CHOLE PURI


Ingredients

For Pressure cooking the chola :-
1 cup chola ,soaked
2 tej patta
2 green cardamom
1 black cardamom
1 inch cinnamon
1 star anise
1 tbsp tea leaves

For Masala
Del Monte olive pomace oil - 3 tbsp
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
1 large Onion, slice
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 inch Ginger julians
2 green chilly
3 Large tomatoes chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
1/3 cup Coriander leaves
2 tsp chola masala

For Dough
2 cups Whole wheat flour
1/2 Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Ghee
Water as required
