This Punjabi Chhola Masala, also known as Chana Masala, is an authentic North Indian style curry made with white chickpeas, freshly powdered spices, onions, tomatoes and herbs. Naturally vegan and packed with healthy minerals, protein and fiber, this delicious vegetarian meal can be ready in just 45 minutes minus the soaking time of chickpeas.

Ingredients:

Chickpeas(chole/kabuli chana)-300 gms
(Soak it in normal water for 7-8 hours or overnight)
Chopped onion-2(medium)
Chopped tomato-2(large)
Whole garam masala
(Bay leaves, black cardamom, cloves
cinnamon, mace(javitri)
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder-1 to 1.5 tsp
Coriander powder 3 tsp
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste or 1.5 tsp
Chaat masala
Cooking oil-3 tbsp
Coriander leaves-1/3 cup
