Easy and quick paneer recipe . Here, cream and milk are combined with a rich onion-cashew paste and perked up with spice powders to get a pleasantly-flavoured gravy that is perfect.CREAM PANEERIngredients400 grams cottage cheese (paneer), cut into ½ inch cubes¼ cup fresh cream + for drizzling1½ tablespoons oil3-4 cloves3-4 green cardamoms1 black cardamom1 inch cinnamon 1 tablespoon garlic paste1 tablespoon ginger paste2 teaspoons green chilli paste2 medium onions, chopped, boiled and pureed¼ cup boiled cashewnut paste¼ cup yogurtSalt to tasteFresh coriander sprig for garnishingMethod1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cloves, green cardamoms, black cardamom and broken cinnamon and sauté till fragrant.2. Add garlic paste, ginger paste and green chilli paste and sauté for 1 minute or till oil separates.3. Add onion paste and sauté for 1 minute. Add cashewnut paste, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously.4. Add ¼ cup water, mix and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add yogurt, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add salt, mix and simmer for 10 minutes.5. Strain the onion mixture in another non-stick pan. Place the pan on heat and add ¼ cup cream. Adjust salt, mix and simmer for 1-2 minutes.6. Cut each cottage cheese cube into two triangles.7. Switch of heat, add cottage cheese triangles and mix well. 8. Drizzle some cream and serve hot garnished with a coriander sprig.
