Cream Paneer | 5 Best Paneer Recipes | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Easy and quick paneer recipe . Here, cream and milk are combined with a rich onion-cashew paste and perked up with spice powders to get a pleasantly-flavoured gravy that is perfect.

CREAM PANEER

Ingredients

400 grams cottage cheese (paneer), cut into ½ inch cubes
¼ cup fresh cream + for drizzling
1½ tablespoons oil
3-4 cloves
3-4 green cardamoms
1 black cardamom
1 inch cinnamon
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 tablespoon ginger paste
2 teaspoons green chilli paste
2 medium onions, chopped, boiled and pureed
¼ cup boiled cashewnut paste
¼ cup yogurt
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander sprig for garnishing

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cloves, green cardamoms, black cardamom and broken cinnamon and sauté till fragrant.
2. Add garlic paste, ginger paste and green chilli paste and sauté for 1 minute or till oil separates.
3. Add onion paste and sauté for 1 minute. Add cashewnut paste, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously.
4. Add ¼ cup water, mix and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add yogurt, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add salt, mix and simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Strain the onion mixture in another non-stick pan. Place the pan on heat and add ¼ cup cream. Adjust salt, mix and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
6. Cut each cottage cheese cube into two triangles.
7. Switch of heat, add cottage cheese triangles and mix well.
8. Drizzle some cream and serve hot garnished with a coriander sprig.
