Crunchy Macaroni | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Boiled macaroni coated with flour and deep fried, tossed in spice mix.

CRUNCHY MACARONI

Ingredients

1½ cups boiled elbow macaroni
Oil for deep-frying
2-3 tablespoons refined flour
Spice mix
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chaat masala
Salt to taste

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
2. Put macaroni in a zip lock bag. Add flour, lock the bag and shake to mix.
3. Place a strainer on a bowl and transfer the macaroni mixture.
4. Deep-fry prepared macaroni in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain in the same bowl.
5. To prepare spice mix, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chaat masala and salt in a bowl and mix well.
6. Sprinkle some spice mix on top of fried macaroni while still warm and mix well.
7. Serve.
