Fish marinated with curry powder and crumb fried served with baked chips.CURRIED FISH AND CHIPSIngredients1 teaspoon Madras curry powder2 basa fish fillets, cut into 2 pieces3-4 medium potatoes, cut into fingers 1 tablespoon lemon juiceSalt to tasteCrushed black peppercorns to taste1 teaspoon red chilli flakes1 teaspoon dried mixed herbsOil for drizzling + for deep-frying½ cup refined flour1 egg1 cup dried breadcrumbsTartar sauce for servingMethod1. Preheat oven to 180° C.2. Take fish fillets on a plate. Add lemon juice, salt and Madras curry powder and mix. 3. To prepare chips, transfer potato fingers on a baking tray. Sprinkle salt, crushed peppercorns, chilli flakes and dried mixed herbs on top. Drizzle some oil on top and mix well. 4. Put the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.5. Heat sufficient oil in a pan.6. Spread flour in a shallow plate. Beat egg in another shallow plate. Spread breadcrumbs on a plate.7. Dust each marinated fish fillet with flour, dip in beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs. 8. Deep-fry prepared fish fillets in the hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.9.
