Dal Fry (Dhaba Style) | Indian Mom's Kitchen

Dhaba Style Dal Fry can easily be made at home. Let me show you how easily it can be made.

Ingredients:
1 cup Moong Dal
2 tbsp Oil
1/4 tsp Turmeric
1/4 tsp Hing
1 cup chopped Onions
1/4 cup Tomato puree
2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
2 slit Green Chillies
Lime juice to taste
Salt to taste
A few Curry leaves

Method: Wash Dal, add Curry leaves, pour water and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
Heat Oil and stir fry Onions to golden brown. Add Ginger Garlic paste and Hing and fry for a minute. Add Tomato puree and cook till water evaporates. Add split Green Chillies, Turmeric, Salt and fry. Add the Dal and let it simmer. Add the Lime juice and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add Kasuri Methi and Coriander leaves and mix well.

For the Tadka:
1 tbsp Ghee
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
3 dry Red Chillies
1/4 tsp Garam masala
1 tbsp Chilli powder
A few Coriander leaves
Heat Ghee and add Cumin, Red chillies, Chilli powder and Garam masala and pour over the ready Dal. Garnish with Coriander leaves.
Dhaba Style Dal fry is ready.
