Moong Dal Khichdi:
Ingredients
• 3 tbsp pure ghee (clarified butter)
• Water to cook
• 1/2 cup moong dal (red lentil) & 1 cup rice, washed and soaked
• 1/2 to 1 inch dalchini (cinnamon)
• 2-3 lavang (cloves)
• 1/2 tsp haldi (turmeric)
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 hing (asafoetida)
• 1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)

Method:
- Heat the ghee in a deep pan.
- Once its heated, add asafoetida, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, cinnamon & cloves and give it a good mix.
- Then add soaked moong dal & rice and salt as per taste and mix again.
- Add the water and mix well.
- Cover the pan and cook it well till all the water gets evaporated.
- Garnish with some coriander
