Dal Kofta recipe Hindi | Baked not fried Easy Recipe | Eat East Indian

Great alternative to meatballs for vegans.. this is an Indian style Kofta made wit rice and lentils. Its flavourful, healthy, baked instead of fried and nutritious. Use these balls in a curry, put them in a wrap or simply enjoy as a snack with your favourite chutney.

Ingredients

2 cups of boiled Brown lentils
1 cup brown rice
2-3 tbsp flax seed powder
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 tbsp grated ginger
1/3 cup chopped cilantro leaves
1 small deseeded green chilli
Small piece of chopped onion
1-2 tsp curry powder
salt per taste
1/2 tsp red chilli pwd
1 tsp mango powder
3/4 tsp cumin powder

Mix all the ingredients. Form small balls and bake at 375 F for 20-30 mins. Serve in a curry or along with your favourite chutney.
