Goes perfect with steamed rice.DAL WITH DRUMSTICKSIngredients2 cups split pigeon peas (toor dal), pressure cooked with turmeric powder2-3 drumsticks, scraped and cut into 2 inch pieces1 medium onion, finely chopped1 teaspoon chopped green chillies2-3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leavesSalt to tasteA pinch asafoetida½ teaspoon tamarind pulp½ cup fresh scraped coconutMethod1. Heat cooked pigeon peas in a non-stick pan. Add drumstick, onion, green chillies and chopped coriander and mix well. Add some water, mix and bring to boil. Cover and cook on low heat for 6-7 minutes.2. Add salt, asafoetida and tamarind pulp, mix and cook till drumsticks are fully done. 3. Add coconut and mix well.4.
