This is my family recipe which I learnt from my grandmother. Follow my recipe and you can easily make it for your family & friends on special occasions. Ingredients: For the dough Maida Salt Water Ghee For the sugar syrup Water Sugar For the stuffing Condensed milk Mawa Charmagaj Cashew nuts RaisinsMethod Sugar Syrup Take one cup sugar and one cup water and boil Add cardamom powder, stir to dissolve the sugar in water and boil till the syrup thickens Method Dough Take maida, salt and ghee in a mixing bowl and knead it to resemble bread crumbs. Add water, little by little, to form a smooth dough. The consistency should be like paratha or puri dough Add ghee on the dough and cover with damp muslin cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes Method for the stuffing Heat a pan and add ghee. When the ghee melts add mawa, mix well. Add chopped cashews and charmagaj and mix well Add cardamom powder and mix well till it thickens. Switch off the gas. Keep the stuffing aside Method Luchis Divide the dough into small balls as shown Flatten each ball and roll out the luchis Take one rolled luchi and put one tablespoon stuffing in the middle Cover it with another luchi, as shown Press and seal the edges as shown Heat Oil in a pan and when it is hot and reduce the flame Fry the luchis and when it puffs up, flip and fry the other side Take the luchis out when they are golden brown and dip them into sugar syrup Coat the luchis well with sugar syrup Place them on a serving platter and garnish with dry rose petals You can also garnish with fresh rose petals
