Refined flour wontons filled with a sweet date and nut mixture, fried till golden brown and crisp - served with a creamy rabdi.DATE AND NUT PARCELS WITH RABRI - (Serves - 4)Ingredients8-10 dates, deseeded and roughly chopped¼ cup chopped mixed dry fruitsGujiya dough as requiredRabri as requiredOil for drizzling + deep-fryingSugar syrup for drizzlingSaffron strands for sprinklingSliced pistachios as requiredFresh rose petals for garnishingMethod1. Take dates in a bowl. Add mixed dry fruits and mix well.2. Divide the dough into equal portions, drizzle some oil on top, roll them out to make thin sheets and cut into squares using a 3 inch square cookie cutter. 3. Put some date-dry fruits mixture in the center of ½ of squares, cover with remaining squares and press the edges to seal. These are parcels.4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry the parcels till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.5. Put some rabri in a serving platter and place parcels on top. Drizzle some sugar syrup, sprinkle some saffron and pistachios on top.6.
