DATES AND ANJEER MODAK

Ingredients

1 cup chopped dates
¾ cup chopped dried figs (anjeer)
2 tbsps pistachios
2 tbsps raisins
¼ cup almonds
2 tbsps grated dried coconut
2 tbsps poppy seeds (khaskhas)
½ tsp green cardamom powder

Method

1. Put pistachios, raisins, and almonds in a food processor and process to a coarse powder. Add dried coconut, poppy seeds and green cardamom powder and process to a coarse paste.
2. Transfer the coarse paste into a large bowl and mix. Take a portion of the mixture and stuff into a modak mould, gently press and demould.
3. Arrange the dates and anjeer modaks on a serving plate. Serve.
