Cut an inch off the top of your onion and peel off all the skin keeping the root in tact2.) Core out the center of the onion and discard3.) To cut the onion, watch the video b/c its hard to explain in writing4.) If you want your petals to branch out more, dunk it in boiling water for a minute and then dunk it in ice water to stop the cooking process5.) Prepare the Dry Mix, Wet Mix & Sauce6.) Toss the cut onion into the dry mix and make sure the flour gets into the nooks & crannies of the onion petals or it won't come out looking right7.) Toss in wet mix and do the same thing8.) Toss back in to dry mix for final coat, shake off any lose flour and freeze9.) Get your oil to almost 400°F and fry for 6 minutes. The temperature of the oil will drop down to where you need it to be to finish cooking without burning10.)
