EGGLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE

Ingredients

½ cup yogurt
½ cup oil
¾ cup castor sugar
½ cup refined flour (maida)
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
¼ cup cocoa powder
¼ cup chocolate chips + for sprinkling
½ cup milk
Broken walnuts for sprinkling

Method

1. Preheat the oven at 180ºC.
2. Take yogurt in a large bowl, add oil and castor sugar and whisk till the sugar melts.
3. Sift the refined flour, baking soda, baking powder and cocoa powder directly into the yogurt mixture and gently fold. Add the chocolate chips and fold till well combined.
4. Add milk and mix well.
5. Pour the mixture into a 7-inch square silicon cake mould. Sprinkle some walnuts and chocolate chips on top.
6. Place the mould in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes.
7. Take the mould out of the oven and allow to cool slightly.
8. De-mould and allow to cool completely. Cut and serve as required.
