Founded in 1969 at People's Park Food Centre, Kim Hua Guan has established its own brand name over the last 5 decades for its handmade Bak Kwa grilled over charcoal. The business owner, Calvin Ng, takes pride in his product made with fresh minced pork, marinated with secret recipe using premium sugar and fish sauce. He still hand makes Bak Kwa in the traditional way in his factory. Minced pork is spread over bamboo trays and smothered in a smoking chamber using charcoal. The pork sheets are then peeled off from the trays, sliced into squares and sent to chill. Before serving, the Bak Kwa is grilled over charcoal at the stall. The signature Bak Kwa is the traditional square minced pork (). It is tender, moist and savoury, skilfully barbecued with smoky charred edges. There are several other flavours to choose from such as chilli, black pepper, sambal belacan and Longan. If you prefer to try something different, there are Iberico and honey coin to choose from.
