Deep freid fish pieces tossed in spicy chilli basil sauce.FISH CHIILI BASILIngredients400 grams basa fish fillets, cut into cubes2 fresh red chillies 4-5 fresh basil leaves¼ cup + 1 tablespoon cornstarchSalt to tasteCrushed black peppercorns to taste1 tablespoon oil + for deep-frying1 tablespoon chopped garlic2 tablespoons light soy sauce2 teaspoons red chilli flakesMethod1. Combine fish, ¼ cup cornstarch, salt and crushed peppercorns in a bowl and mix well.2. Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Deep-fry the fish pieces till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil a non-stick pan. Chop red chillies diagonally and add alongwith garlic, mix and sauté well.4. Add some water and mix. Add soy sauce and chilli flakes, mix well.5. Dissolve 1 tablespoon cornstarch in some water and add. Mix well till the sauce thickens.6. Add fried fish and mix well. Add crushed peppercorns and torn basil leaves, toss to mix. Let it get heated through.7.
