Ingredients

•Fish-1kg
•Kashmiri chilly
powder-3-4 tbs
•Coriander powder-1tbs
•Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
•Fenugreek seeds-1/4tsp
•Ginger(3inch piece)-crushed
•Garlic small -15 crushed
•Kudampuli-4(medium)piece
•Shallot(sliced)- 6-10
•Green chilly-4
•Coconut oil -3+1 tbs
•Salt -
•Curry leaves-few
•Water-2cups
Method
•Heat a clay pot and add coconut oil
•Once hot, splutter fenugreek seeds
•Add crushed ginger, garlic and shallots
•Saute over a low flame until light golden in colour
•Mix chilly powder and coriander powder in little water and make a paste
•Add the paste to it and saute over low flame till oil separates
•Now add 11/2 cups of water
•Add turmeric, kudampuli, slited green chilly, curry leaves and salt
•Close with a lid and let it boil
•Once boil, add fish pieces
•Swril the pot gently
•Do not stir with spoon or ladle
•Close the lid and cook for 15 min in medium to high flame
•Swril the pot in between
•Reduce the flame and let it cook until the gravy thickens and oil comes to the surface
•Check the seasonings,
•Off the flame and •sprinkle 1 tbs of coconut oil and curry leaves and close the pot
•Serving the fish curry the day after preparation tastes yummy.
