Fish Koliwada
The wonderful, mouth-watering, fried Maharashtrian recipe of Fish Koliwada is a finger licking snack which originates and is inspired from kitchens of the Kolis or the fishermen of the Maharashtra region.

Ingredient Quantity

Fish Fillets (Boneless) 200 gm.
Lemon juice ½ no.
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Red chilli powder 1½ tsp + for sprinkle
Garam masala powder ½ tsp
Carom Seeds (Ajwain) ¼ tsp
Gram flour 3 tbsp
Rice flour 1 tbsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Mustard oil 1 tbsp
Chaat Masala for sprinkle
Oil for frying

Method:-
1. Remove the excess water from the fish by pressing with palms and place it in bowl.
2. Add lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, salt and turmeric powder and mix well and keep it
aside for 10 min.
3. After 10 min. add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, ajwain, gram flour, rice flour,
vinegar and water and mix well.
4. Add mustard oil, mix well and keep it aside for half n hour.
5. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the fish till crisp.
6. Remove in absorbent paper, sprinkle some red chilli powder and chat masala and mix
well.
7. Remove in serving plate and serve hot with green chillies.
