French Toast Rolls | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Deep fried bread rolls stuffed with pineapple jam and chopped pineapple.

FRENCH TOAST ROLLUPS

Ingredients

6-8 white bread slices
½ cup pineapple jam
½ cup canned chopped pineapple
2-3 tablespoons chopped dried nuts
2 eggs
½ cup castor sugar
1½ tablespoons fresh cream
½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
½ cup muesli

Method

1. Grind muesli in a blender jar till smooth.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
3. Trim the edges of the bread slices and flatten with rolling pin.
4. Apply pineapple jam on one side of the bread, add chopped pineapple and roll tightly.
5. Break eggs in a bowl, add castor sugar and whisk well. Add fresh cream, cinnamon powder and whisk well.
6. Dip the rolls in the egg mixture, coat with muesli and deep-fry in hot oil till golden brown and crisp.
7. Spread chopped nuts and serve immediately.
