Ganesh Chaturthi Special - How to make Parsad (Prashad) | Easy Indian Halwa Recipe | Eat East Indian

Parsad or Prashad is served for festivals, special occasions or prayer ceremonies. Its like a special offering to God/ Deity and then served to friends, family members and guests.
Here we make simple prasad with Semolina a.k.a sooji (cream of wheat) and call it Sooji Ka halwa.

Ingredients/ Method

1/2 cup sooji/Semolina (cream of wheat)
1/2 cup sugar
4 tbsp ghee or butter
3 cups water
Dry fruit for decoration (optional)

Method:
Melt Ghee in a pan and gently roast flour. This take approximately 7-8 mins. More the quantity of sooji..longer it takes.
Mix sugar and water and make a simple syrup. Add syrup into water and cook until sooji is done (3-4 mins)
Add dry fruit on top and serve.
