General Tso Tofu1 block firm tofu (450 g)1/4 cup cornstarch3 tablespoons vegetable oil table2 cloves garlic, chopped1 tbsp chopped ginger2 tablespoons maple syrup2 tablespoons soy sauce2 tablespoons ketchup1 tsp Sriracha sauce (or red pepper paste)3 green onions, thinly sliced3/4 cup vegetable brothOilCut tofu into cubes and coat well with cornstarch.In a saucepan heat the oil. Add tofu and cook until they are golden brown and crispy. Add oil if necessary.Stir in garlic, ginger, maple syrup, soy sauce, ketchup, Sriracha sauce, scallions and vegetable broth.Let it cook until it thickens.
