GILKYACHI BHAJIIngredients300 grams sponge gourd (gilka)1½ cups gram flour (besan)2 green chillies, chopped1 tsp roasted and crushed coriander seeds1 tsp roasted cumin powder¼ tsp carom seeds (ajwain)¼ tsp turmeric powder½ tsp red chilli powderSalt to taste1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leavesOil for deep fryingTomato ketchup for servingMethod1. Slice the sponge gourd.2. Take gram flour in a bowl. Add green chillies, coriander seeds, cumin powder, carom seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and coriander leaves.3. Add 1 cup water and whisk to make smooth and thick batter.4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the sliced sponge gourd in batter and slide into hot oil.5. Deep fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.6.
