Ingredients :Green chillies - 200 GMsTil oil - 100 mlTamarind - 1 big orange sizeMustard seeds - 2 tspMethi seeds - ½ tspTurmeric powder - 1 tspGrated jaggery - 50 gmsAsaefotida - 1 tspSalt to taste.Method:Soak the tamarind in at least 3 cups of hot water for ½ an hour in hot waterExtract the water from the tamarind thoroughly squeezing out the pulp and keep asideChop the green chillies finelyHeat til oil in a heavy panSplutter mustard and methi seeds in oilAdd asaefotida Now add the chopped green chillies and sauté in oil well till colour changes slightly Then add the tamarind water, turmeric powder and asaefotida Add the grated jaggery tooAdd salt and let everything simmer for 15 or 20 minsWhen the Green Chilli Pickle or Milagai Pachadi is thick, it’s readyStore in sterilised jar
