Green Chilli Pickle | #MilagaiPachadi | Sujan Fun Kitchen

Ingredients :
Green chillies - 200 GMs
Til oil - 100 ml
Tamarind - 1 big orange size
Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
Methi seeds - ½ tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Grated jaggery - 50 gms
Asaefotida - 1 tsp
Salt to taste.
Method:
Soak the tamarind in at least 3 cups of hot water for ½ an hour in hot water
Extract the water from the tamarind thoroughly squeezing out the pulp and keep aside
Chop the green chillies finely
Heat til oil in a heavy pan
Splutter mustard and methi seeds in oil
Add asaefotida
Now add the chopped green chillies and sauté in oil well till colour changes slightly
Then add the tamarind water, turmeric powder and asaefotida
Add the grated jaggery too
Add salt and let everything simmer for 15 or 20 mins
When the Green Chilli Pickle or Milagai Pachadi is thick, it’s ready
Store in sterilised jar
