A sandwich is something that you can eat any time of the day. This loaded one has a cheesy mushroom mixture sandwiched between ciabatta bread slices and grilled to a crisp.GRILLED MUSHROOM MELTSIngredients8-10 button mushrooms, thinly sliced1 chiabatta bread, sliced1 tablespoon oil1 medium onion, finely chopped1 tablespoon chopped garlicSalt to tasteCrushed black peppercorns to taste½ teaspoon mixed dried herbsButter for spreading + greasingGrated cheddar cheese as requiredGrated mozzarella cheese as requiredMethod1. Preheat an electric griller.2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté for a minute. Add garlic and sauté till golden.3. Add mushrooms, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add salt and crushed peppercorns and mix. Add dried herbs, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. 4. Spread some butter on each bread slice. Put some cheddar cheese, mushroom mixture and some mozzarella cheese on top of half bread slices and cover with remaining bread slices.5. Grease the preheated electric griller with some butter. Grill the prepared sandwiches from both sides till golden. 6.
