Mutton Haleem Recipe
Ingredients:
700g Mutton (boneless)
1/2 cup Wheat grains
1/4 cup Split chickpeas lentil
1/4 cup Red Lentil
1/4 cup Green gram lentil
1/4 cup White lentil
1/4 cup Rice
Salt to taste
1 ½ tbsp Turmeric
2 tbsp Red chili powder
2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
2 Onion (sliced)
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1 tbsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Garam masala powder
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Whole spices
2 tbsp Lemon juice
2 cup Oil
4 Green chilies
Directions:
In a bowl sock rice, wheat and all lentils for two hours.
In a pan add socked rice, wheat, lentils and 2-liter water.
Add salt and turmeric in it and let it cook on low flame for 20 to 25 minutes until all the ingredients gets tender.
When it gets cold grind all them well and make a paste.
In a separate pan add 4 to 5 cups of water and add mutton, salt, whole spice and turmeric in it.
Let it cook for 30 to 35 minutes until meat gets fully cooked and then shred the meat.
In a pan heat oil then add onion, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and cook until light brown.
Add shredded meat, salt according to taste, red chili powder, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add grinded mixture, two cups of water and mix well with wooden spoon on low flame.
Cook for 7 to 8 minutes more.
Add freshly squeezed lemon juice in it and your dish is ready.

Beef Haleem Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup Porridge
½ cup Split chickpeas (Soaked)
¼ cup Split green gram (Soaked)
¼ cup Split red lentil (Soaked)
¼ cup Rice (Soaked)
½ cup White Lentil (Soaked)
¼ cup Barely (Soaked)
Water as required
2 tsp Turmeric
1 cup Oil
1 large Onion
1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
½ kg Beef
3 tbsp Red chili powder
2 tbsp Coriander powder
Salt to taste
1 cup Yogurt
2-3 tbsp Garam masala
¼ tsp Nutmeg
For Tarka:
1 cup Oil
1 large Onion
Directions:
- Soak porridge, split chickpeas, split green gram, split red lentil, rice, white lentil, barely overnight.
- In a pan add all these and water and turmeric. Mix well. Bring it to boil, skin off the foam and the cover the lid and cook until all get tender. Then blend it well.
- In another pan heat the oil add onion, fry until golden brown. Then add ginger garlic paste. Cook for a minute. Then add beef, cook for 3-4 minutes. (cover the lid and cook until it gets dry)
- Then add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt and cook for 3-4 minute, until oil separates, add yogurt mix it and cook for 2 minutes. Add water, cover the lid and cook until beef fully gets tender. Mash it well.
- Add cooked beef in Daal mixture and stir continuously for 45-50 minutes.
- Add garam masala, nutmeg and cook for 10 minutes.
- For Tarka, in a pan heat oil and then add onion, fry until golden brown. Take out the fried onion and keep it aside. Pour oil on Daal mixture and cook for 20-25 minutes.
- Serve with fried onion, ginger slices, green chili and chaat masala.
