Ingredients:2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 625 mL2 Tbsp granulated sugar 30 mL1 Tbsp baking powder 15 mL½ tsp salt 2 mL¾ cup butter, cubed 175 mL1 cup milk (approx.) 250 mLMethod:Pre-heat oven to 425ºF (220ºC)In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Using pastry blender or fingertips cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk all at once, stirring with fork to make soft, slightly sticky dough.On lightly floured surface, knead dough gently about 10 times. Pat dough into ½ inch thick round. Using floured cookie cutter cut out rounds. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Gather scraps and cut out more rounds.Brush tops of biscuits with milk. Bake in oven for about 12 minutes or until golden.
