Homemade Rasam Powder | Rasam Powder Recipe | Rasam Podi | Indian Mom's Kitchen

This Homemade Rasam powder can be used to make a variety of Rasams. This Rasam powder can be stored in airtight containers and used for up to 2 months. Given below are the ingredients of this Rasam Powder recipe. I have also shown how to make Tomato Rasam using this Rasam Podi.

Ingredients:
(In the order of instructions)
1 tsp Oil
25 Kashmiri Chillies
2 tbsp Pepper
4 tbsp Tuvar Dal
4 tbsp Coriander seeds
1 tbsp Cumin (Jeera)
1/2 tsp Fenugreek (Methi) seeds
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Hing (Asafoetida)

For Tomato Rasam:
2 Tomatoes
Small Tamarind ball
1/4 cup Tuvar Dal
Few Curry leaves
Few Coriander leaves
Salt to taste
3 tsp Rasam powder

For Tempering:
1 tsp Ghee
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1/4 tsp Hing
Few Curry leaves
