Honey Walnut Prawns | Cooking with California Walnuts | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Honey Walnut Prawns- fried with a tempura batter and quickly tossed in a honey sauce and sweetened walnuts! Tastes just like take-out, but BETTER! Worth a try.

HONEY WALNUT PRAWNS

Ingredients

16 medium prawns, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp honey
5-6 California Walnuts, halved
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
2-3 spring onion bulbs, sliced
¼ medium green capsicum, cut into small cubes
¼ medium yellow capsicum, cut into small cubes
¼ medium red capsicum, cut into small cubes
1 tsp red chilli flakes
Salt to taste
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp lemon juice
¼ cup diagonally sliced spring onion greens

Method

1. Heat sesame oil in a non-stick wok. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add spring onion bulbs, green capsicum, yellow capsicum and red capsicum and toss on high heat for 30 seconds.
2. Add California Walnuts and toss. Add chilli flakes and toss. Add prawns and salt, toss and cook for 1 minute.
3. Add soy sauce, toss and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add honey, lemon juice and ¾th of spring onion greens and toss well.
4. Serve hot garnished with remaining spring onion greens.
