Hot dog buns stuffed with chicken sausages, caramelized onion and served with potato chips.

HOT DOG

Ingredients

4 hot dog rolls
4 chicken sausages
2 tablespoons butter
2 medium onions, cut into roundels and separated into rings
1 teaspoon castor sugar
Tomato ketchup for spreading
Mustard paste for spreading
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
Potato chips for serving

Method

1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a non-stick pan. Place sausages and cook from all sides on high heat for 1-2 minutes. Transfer on a plate.
2. Heat remaining butter in the same non-stick pan. Add onion rings and cook till it golden. Add castor sugar, mix and cook for 1 minute. Transfer on the same sausage plate.
3. Slit the rolls with one side intact.
4. Spread some tomato ketchup on one side of the open side of each roll and some mustard paste on the other side.
5. Place one cooked sausage and put some caramelized onion rings in each prepared roll. Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on top.
6. Serve hot with potato chips.
