How to make Spaghetti Bolognese

Spaghetti Bolognese is an Italian recipe that is enjoyed by many Nigerians. It comprises mainly minced beef, made into a jolly sauce to be enjoyed with spaghetti. Bolognese is a tomato-based sauce but you can also add a little pepper to give it a kick. The Nigerian in us loves some extra pepper.

INGREDIENTS
Spaghetti
Scotch bonnet pepper
Onions
Garlic
Seasoning cubes
Tomatoes
Curry
Yellow bell pepper
Green bell pepper
Red bell pepper
Minced beef
Vegetable oil

STEPS
1. Wash and slice onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and bell peppers
2. Place a pot of water on heat and allow it to boil
3. Put spaghetti in the boiling water
4. Add salt and a little oil
5. Once the spaghetti is soft, sieve it and put it aside
6. Place a frying pan on the heat
7. Pour oil into the frying pan and heat it
8. Add onions and fry
9. Add garlic and ginger. Stir well
10. Add seasoning cubes
11. Add the minced beef to the mix
12. Add curry and stir well
13. Add a little water and allow it to boil for few minutes
14. Add the sliced bell peppers, habanero pepper, and tomatoes
15. Stir well and allow it to simmer for a few minutes
16. Serve spaghetti and the sauce.
