How to make VEGAN Portuguese Custard Tarts

This is it friends, the easiest Vegan Portuguese Custard Tart recipe that youll ever try!

If you have not tried Portuguese Custard Tarts before then youve honestly been missing out. This popular and delicious tart is made using cinnamon covered puff pastry and then filled with custard - place them in the oven and you have one unbelievable treat!

Today Im making these that much easier by utilising the Well and Good Custard Powder mix, which is not only super convenient, but tastes incredible! Its the perfect addition for these already easy to make Vegan Portuguese Custard Tarts.

INGREDIENTS:

2 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
Cinnamon powder
Well and Good Custard Powder mix

METHOD:

Preheat oven to 200c, prepare a muffin tray and prepare your custard as per packet instructions
Place a sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and roll with a rolling pin. Lightly sprinkle cinnamon over the entire sheet and then roll puff pastry into a log
Cut the log of puff pastry into 6 equal sizes. Flatten puff pastry cuts and then roll into a 10cm circle using a rolling pin.
Place your puff pastry circles into your prepared muffin tray and then spoon in chilled custard.
Place in the oven for 15-20 mins or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
Once taken out of the oven, transfer tarts immediately to a wire rack and allow to cool for about 5 minutes. Dust tarts with icing sugar before serving
