HOW TO BOIL MUTTON

Ingredients

750 grams mutton, cut into 2 inch pieces on the bone
1 bay leaf
Salt to taste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
2-3 green cardamoms
2-3 cloves
8-10 black peppercorns
1 tsp oil

Method

1. Take mutton in a bowl, add bay leaf, salt, turmeric powder, green cardamoms, cloves and black peppercorns and mix till well combined.
2. Heat a pressure cooker. Add the mutton, drizzle oil and add 1 cup water and mix well. Cover with a lid and cook on medium heat for 4 whistles.
3. Open the lid of the cooker once the pressure has reduced completely. Mix the mutton mixture once.
4. You may discard the whole spices and use this boiled mutton for various recipes.
