Apam balik 曼煎糕 is Malaysia style pancake and also one of malaysia famous street food. You can get it at pasar malam (night malam). In English, apam balik also known as turnover pancake. Why do we say turnover? It is because when apam balik is cooked, it is folded in half and therefore here it comes the name balik or turnorver.

The difference between the pancake that we got from hungry jack and mcdonald is apam balik traditionally is stuffed with sugar, butter, peanut and cream corn. In this video, I had omitted cream corn because I prefer it just with sugar, butter and peanut.
It’s soft and fluffy yet moist with a delicious sweet buttery filling inside.

In my version, I had also invented a fusion apam balik. haha. I live in Australia, I saw many people loves crepe with different filling, with pancake, they will also add different fruit / cream / sauce on top of pancake. Here is how I come with the Aussie style apam balik.
