How to Make Butterfly Shrimp and Ebi Nigiri | Secrets of Sushi

Making Butterfly shrimp and Ebi Nigiri is very simple, but a little tedious. This video is a little longer than I normally post, but hang in there! It's worth watching until the end.

Ebi Nigiri and Butterfly Shrimp are a great way to introduce sushi to someone who may be uneasy about eating raw fish, as most people are more comfortable with eating shrimp. Butterfly shrimp can also be used on top of maki (rolls)!

This technique for making nigiri can be used with almost any type of fish that is commonly used in sushi.
