Korean Chicken Bulgogi ( A Korean barbeque preparation)

( This is being prepared without a barbeque)

Ingredients for marinade

-250 gms boneless chicken thigh cut into small pieces
-1 tbs ssamjang( spicy Korean paste )
-1 tbs Tbs soy sauce
-1 tbs Tbs brown sugar
-1 tsp lime juice
-2 Tbs soda
-1 tbs Tbs rice wine
-½ Tbs minced garlic
-1tsp minced ginger
-1 tsp tsp sessme oil
-1 tsp ground black pepper
Tip: You can use lemonade in place of soda, brown sugar & lime juice

Garishing & plating ingredients

-One cup cooked rice
-Some greens, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers.
Some micro greens (optional)
- Black & white sesame seeds

Method

1.Take the chicken pieces in a bowl and combine all the other marinade ingredients and mix them we.
2.Keep the marinade in fridge for 5 to 6 hours.
3. Pan fry the marinated chicken in a well heated pan and keep the leftover marinade for later use. Stir the chicken over medium high heat and then reduce the heat and cook till the chicken is cooked. Take them out and keep aside.

4. Boil the leftover marinade till you get the desired consistency. It should be ready in 2/3 minutes. Keep the sauce aside.

5. In another stove smoke the pan fried chicken pieces, one by one, on high flame to give that burnt look of barbeque. Use a tong for this. ( Note: this can be done simultaneously on another stove while the sauce is being prepared, as shown.)

Plating

On a serving plate place the chicken pieces on one side, put the cooked rice in the middle, and then place the greens and bell peppers on another side.
Pour the sauce over the chicken pieces and then sprinkle some white and black sesame seeds on top of it. Serve Hot.
Note: For vegetarian version you can use paneer or tofu in place of chicken.
