How to make Dosas at home? | Eat East Indian

I really enjoy South Indian food and sometimes make Dosa's at home. They are so yum..a bit of work to make batter from scratch but so worth it. Next time, you have some time on your hands on the weekend perhaps, try this tasty Indian Savoury crepe in the comfort of your own home.

Prepare the batter by soaking rice, urad dal (ratio: 4:1) and fenugreek seeds in cold water for 4-5 hours and then grinding them to make a smooth batter. Let the batter ferment for 8 hours or overnight. When you are ready to make Dosa's on a griddle/ pan/skillet heat little bit of oil, spread the batter and let cook for 3-4 mins. Flip over and cook the other side for couple of mins.. Enjoy with coconut chutney, sambhar or tamarind chutney.
