Learn how to make Fettuccine Carbonara, a delicious pasta recipe by Tarika Singh.Fettuccine Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish from Lazio, and more specifically Rome. Food Blogger Tarika Singh adds a small twist to this delectable recipe based on eggs, cheese, bacon and pepper. Ingredients:2 ltrs. water200 gms. fettuccine20 gms. salt1/2 tbsp. olive oil75 grams bacon2 eggs + 1 egg yolk50 grams Parmesan cheese, grated plus more for servingpepper to tastesmall pinch of red chilli flakes (optional)Method:To make fettuccine:- In a vessel, bring the water to boil.- Add the salt and fettuccine in the boiling water and let it boil till it's cooked al dente. To make bacon:- Take a pan and add the olive oil. - Add the bacon (cut into small pieces) to the olive oil and cook them till they turn slightly brown in colour. To make the sauce:- In a bowl, crack open 2 whole eggs. - Add only the yolk from the third egg and whisk them well.- Add the Parmesan cheese to the egg yolk mixture and whisk it. - Add very little black pepper and a tiny pinch of red chilli flakes to the above ingredients.
