Matar Paneer is a favourite to everyone and here's the authentic way to make it in your kitchens.MATAR PANEERIngredients1 cup blanched green peas250 grams homemade cottage cheese (paneer)2 tbsps oil1 tsp cumin seeds2 medium onions, chopped2 green chillies, chopped2 tbsps ginger-garlic paste1 cup fresh tomato puree¼ tsp turmeric powder1 tsp red chilli powder2 tsps coriander powderSalt to taste½ tsp sugar½ tsp garam masala powder½ tsp dried fenugreek leaves2 tsps butter2 tbsps chopped fresh corianderPhulkas to serveMethod1. Heat oil and ghee in a nonstick pan. Add cumin seeds. Once they start to change the colour, add onions and sauté till golden brown.2. Add green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and continue to sauté for a minute more.3. Add tomato puree, mix well and cook on medium heat for 5-6 minutes or till oil separates.4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well.5. Add salt, ¾ cup water and mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.6. Add sugar and mix well. Add green peas and mix well.7. Add garam masala powder, dried fenugreek leaves and mix well.8. Add cottage cheese and mix with light hands. Add butter and mix well.9. Add coriander and mix well.
