Indian street food Kolkata pav bhaji | Recreating Indian street food | Cooking Indian food at homeChasing a Plate Cooks is all about recreating food we have eaten on our travels in our home kitchen. Today we're recreating pav bhaji from a street stall we ate at in Kolkata, India. Pav bhaji is a vegetable stew served with buttered toasted buns. It's made up of a number of different vegetables, spices and is cooked on a giant tava in front of the diner. In this video we try and recreate the meal we ate from a street stall located in Barrabazar the largest market in Kolkata. This series is all about using what ingredients we have in the pantry and fridge and substituting ingredients where necessary. #withme #streetfoodathome #indianstreetfoodWatch us eat pav bhaji in Kolkata, India:https://youtu.be/4XcKBcZElq8Make pav bhaji at home:Ingredients (serves 4-6)White rollsAn assortment of vegetables, we used:Half a cauliflower2 large potatoes2 tomatoesCapsicumChivesA couple of handful of peas1 brown onionGarlic cloves1 tsp ginger pasteTurmericSalt & pepperLemonFor the spice mix1 tsp ground cumin1 tsp ground coriander1 tsp ground chilli1/2 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp cardamom1/2 tsp turmeric1/4 tsp clovesFor garnishChopped red onionChopped corianderThe method is too long for us to include here (YouTube has a word count limit) so follow the video and if you have any questions leave us a comment ✌️ ️************************************************************************ STUFF FOR YOU*Get $59NZD ($40USD) off your first AirBnB stay through our link!https://www.airbnb.co.nz/c/ssoutham1?currency=NZDPrefer a hotel?
