INGREDIENTS
1. Tomatoes - 1/2 Kg
2. Chilli Powder - 5 Teaspoons
3. Salt - 4 Teaspoons
4. Tamarind - 50 Grams
5. Mustard Seeds Powder - 2 Teaspoons
6. Cumin-Fenugreek Seeds Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
7. Tempering Seeds

Soak tamarind and juice it. The juice has to be thick. Tamarind paste also could be added. To a pan, add tomato pieces and boil them. Close the lid. Mix in between. After they are boiled up to more than half, add prepared tamarind. Mix. Add 5 teaspoons chilli powder, 4 teaspoons salt or salt to taste, 2 teaspoons mustard seeds powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin-fenugreek seeds powder and mix. Cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes. Cut off the stove. Prepare tempering now. Heat 3 tablespoons oil in a pan. Add 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 2 teaspoons bengal gram and fry. Add 4-5 dried chillies. As they start to change colour, add curry leaves, crushed garlic cloves could be added, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and mix. Add this prepared tempering to the cooked tomatoes.
