MASOOR DAL TADKAIngredients 1 cup Tata Sampann Masoor dal2 tbsps oil½ tsp cumin powderA pinch of asafoetida 2-3 green chillies, chopped1 medium tomato, chopped½ cup fresh tomato puree¼ tsp turmeric powder½ tsp red chilli powder½ tsp garam masala powder1 tsp coriander-cumin powderSalt to taste2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander A pinch of sugar½ tsp lemon juiceCoriander sprigs for garnishJeera rice for serving Method1. Take Tata Sampann Masoor Dal in a bowl, add sufficient water and wash for 2-3 times .2. Heat pressure cooker; add washed Tata Sampann Masoor Dal, cover and cook for 3 whistles are given out. Allow the mixture to cool down.3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, green chillies. let the cumin seeds change colour, add tomatoes , fresh tomato puree, turmeric powder , red chilli powder ,garam masala powder, coriander-cumin powder, salt and mix.4. Add fresh coriander and sugar and mix well. Open the cooker once the pressure has reduced completely and add cooked dal and ½ cup of water and lemon juice, mix and cook for 5-6 minutes on a medium heat.5.
