Jain Raw Banana Rosti | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

An innovation jain version of the popular recipe Rosti made using raw bananas.

JAIN RAW BANANA RÖSTI

Ingredients

2 raw bananas
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 tablespoon crushed salted peanuts
Salt to taste
Olive oilas required
1 cup fresh cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Fresh parsley for garnishing

Method

1. Peel and grate raw bananas on a plate. Add crushed peppercorns, green chilli, peanuts and salt and mix well.
2. Heat some olive oil in a non-stick pan. Spread a spoonful of banana mixture over and cook till golden and crisp from both sides.
3. To prepare sour cream, take cream in a bowl and whisk. Add lemon juice and salt and whisk well. Refrigerate to chill.
4. Serve hot röstis with sour cream garnished with a parsley sprig.

Preparation Time: 8-10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-12 minutes
