KALE CHANE KA PULAO Ingredients ¾ cup Tata Sampann Kala Chana, washed, soaked for 6-8 hours and drained1½ cups Basmati rice, washed and soaked for 20 minutes2 tbsps oil1 tsp cumin seeds2 medium onions, sliced1 inch ginger, roughly chopped3-4 garlic cloves2 green chillies½ tsp Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder2 tsps coriander powder1 tsp cumin powder1 tsp red chilli powder1 tsp garam masala powderSalt to taste8-10 fresh mint leavesFresh coriander sprigs for garnish Method Heat oil in a Nutripot, add cumin seeds and once they change colour, add onions and sauté well.Add ginger and sauté for 1 minute. Roughly chop garlic and green chillies and add them into the Nutripot. Continue to sauté for 1-2 minutes.Add Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder and sauté for 1 minute.Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and soaked Tata Sampann Kala Chana and mix well.Add 2½ cups water and salt and mix well. Cook for 10-15 minutes.Add soaked rice basmati and mint leaves and cover the Nutripot with the lid. Select ‘Biryani’ option and cook till the rice is cooked completely.Switch the Nutripot off, transfer the kale chana ka pulao into a serving plate and garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
