Watch this video to find out how to make the delicious and mouth watering Konkani Calamari dry dishKONKANI CALAMARI DRYIngredients 4-5 large squids, cut into rings½ cup scraped coconut1 medium onion, finely chopped1 medium tomato, finely chopped1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste½ teaspoon sambhar powder½ teaspoon turmeric powder1 teaspoon red chilli powder1 teaspoon garam masala powder2-3 cloves½ inch cinnamon stick5-6 black peppercorns 1 inch piece gingerSalt to taste2 tablespoon oil 1 teaspoon lemon juiceA sprig of coriander for garnishMethod 1. Take calamari in a large bowl. Add salt and turmeric and keep aside for 10-15 minutes to marinate.2. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon and half the chopped onions and sauté till golden brown. 3. Add coconut and sauté for 2 minutes.4. Cool and grind to a fine paste. Add some water if required.5. Heat remaining oil in a nonstick pan. Add onions and sauté till golden brown in colour.6. Add ginger garlic paste and mix. Add tomatoes and salt and sauté for 2 minutes. 7. Add calamari and mix. Add sambhar powder, red chilli powder and garam masala and mix.8. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.9. Add ground masala and mix well. Cover and cook for 5–10 minutes or till squids are well cooked.10. Add lemon juice and mix well.11.
