A unique and extremely popular way of preparing toast in Korea. Eggs, veggies, butter, ketchup, makes for a sweet and salty sandwich which is just WOW!KOREAN STREET TOASTIngredients1 medium cabbage, shredded1 large carrot, peeled and cut into thin strips8 white bread slices5-6 spring onion bulbs, sliced5-6 tbsps chopped spring onion greensSalt to tasteA pinch of black pepper powder8 eggsButter as requiredCastor sugar for sprinklingTomato ketchup for drizzlingMethod1. Take cabbage in a bowl. Add carrot, spring onion bulbs, spring onion greens, salt and black pepper powder.2. Break eggs directly and mix.3. Heat a nonstick tawa. Add butter and spread the prepared cabbage-egg mixture. Cook for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.4. Shape into a square with the help of spatula. Add butter and cook for 3-4 minutes. Baste with butter in between and continue to cook till golden brown.5. Flip and cook the other side for 3-4 minutes as well.6. Push the omelette onto one side of the tawa. Apply some butter on the other side and place white bread slices and apply some butter on top. Toast for 2-3 minutes on both sides.7. Apply some butter on the omelette and cook till golden brown and the cabbage caramelizes. 8. To make the sandwich, place the omelette on a toasted bread slice and sprinkle some castor sugar. Drizzle some tomato ketchup and place the remaining bread slice on top. Diagonally halve the sandwich and serve immediately.
