Thalen Bay (sometimes spelt Thalene Bay or Tha Lane Bay) is about 30 minutes from Ao Nang and is accessible from Phuket. It is one of the main kayaking areas in Krabi Thailand. The bay is not far from Koh Hong Island and has the best views to the other nearby Krabi islands.At Thalane Bay you will kayak through mangrove forest and through canyons that are surrounded by limestone cliffs. It is very beautiful! The mangrove forests are rich in wildlife, you may see fish, birds, giant monitor lizards, otters and monkeys. The forests are relatively cool and shady making it the perfect tour for hot days in Krabi.
